REGISTRATION & “STAMP PANELS ” in 2 locations throughout the festival: Salida SteamPlant annex, 220 West Sackett Ave., Salida 9-4 daily (THIS IS OUR BASE THROUGHOUT THE FESTVAL) and Rock Run Gallery, 902 S. Main Street, Buena Vista during gallery hours. 719-221-9398.  Artists paint anywhere in the Upper Arkansas River Drainage from Leadville to Cotopaxi in full Fall color.  Keep an eye out for their easels.

STARTING THIS DAY, ARTISTS MAY BRING IN ONE PAINTING EACH DAY TO HANG IN THE HEADQUARTERS FOR SALE. WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH ANY SALES AND CANVAS STAMPING.  ANY SPOUSES, FRIENDS OF PAINTERS?

Optional PASTEL WORKSHOP WITH SUSAN MAYFIELD 2pm - 5pm at Salida Downtown area.

TUESDAY, September 20

BV DAY- Paintout in Buena Vista- Meet-up at Rock Run Gallery at 4pm for judging, 902 South Main.

Judging for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places (prizes awarded) by owner Nora Larimer. $100 1st place.

WE WILL ADVERTISE THIS. RECEPTION AND PAINTING SALES UNTIL 7PM.

Directions to Rock Run and South Main: Go east (East Main) at the light on US 24 all the way through the old downtown to the end by the Community Center and turn right. You’ll see the new construction and Rock Run is on the right. There is a beautiful streetscape of architecture with Mounts Columbia and Princeton as backdrops. It is also located right on the Arkansas River for other natural scenes.  Painting is allowed anywhere in Buena Vista.

Optional OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP WITH JOSHUA BEEN. Registration, Salida Steamplant Annex Headquarters. Cost is $45. Morning workshop with Southwest Art Magazine Artist to Watch and owner of Virtuosity Gallery, Joshua Been. For those interested, meet at Virtuosity Gallery at 7am sharp and go to one of Joshua's favorite places to paint. Optional WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP WITH NORA BUSHONG LARIMER

Nora was Best of Show winner for Colorado Mountain Plein Air Festival, 2008, and signature member of MOWS and TWS.  Nora will offer a 4-hour plein air watercolor workshop, 8:00am - 12noon, during this year’s event on September 23. Nora will start with a demonstration on technique and design and then give individual suggestions to participants.  All levels welcome.  Location will be near Buena Vista.  Participants should meet at Bongo Billy’s Cafe in Buena Vista and we will caravan to the site.
